Gateway Passwords
You need a user name and password just for the MapleTA system. How to get one:
- Go to the password page.
- Enter your KU user name and password (the one you use to access Enroll & Pay).
- Click on the button that says "Submit". (Some people see a screen telling them that they need to update their KU password. That is an issue with your KU online ID.)
- It will redirect you. Click ONCE on the link that says "Retrieve your password".
- Carefully look at your user name. It may be a little bit different than your KU one. CAPITAL and lowercase letters matter!
- Click on the link "Click here to set your password!" and enter the password you would like in each box. This is now your password. You should remember it.
- Follow the link to login to MapleTA.
- Put in your username and password.
If you have a problem, you are able to go through the process again. Close the browser, reopen it, and start at step 1 and try again.
Now you are set to take an exam.
Most Common Error Messages
Login unsuccessful: Invalid user login and/or password.
This means you typed the password wrong. Try again. If you think you copied it down wrong, you can go through the process again to get a new password.
