Announcements:

The Kansas Algebra Program, located on the third floor of Strong Hall, coordinates Math 101 (College Algebra) and Math 002 (Intermediate Algebra) at the University of Kansas.

What can you expect from KAP?

The Kansas Algebra Program is structured with the student's success in mind. Small class sizes, opportunities to retake exams, free drop-in help for homework, exam reviews, and video and tutorial supplements are just some of the support features of the program. The Director's office and the staff of Discussion Leaders, Tutors, and Graduate Teaching supervisors are here to personally assist students with problems they might have with mathematics or questions about the program services and requirements. As you navigate through the details on the web site you will also find several helpful links to connect you with other support offices on campus.

What is expected from you?

In order to get the very most from the course, it is important to attend class and complete homework assignments daily. It is your responsibility to complete the homework prior to class. Only a limited number of homework questions can be answered in the class meetings. Many lessons have prerequisite reading or study assignments. You should come to class prepared to participate. If you have questions outside of class, the Help Room in 323 Strong is available on a drop-in basis every day. The use of a graphing calculator is integrated throughout the course and you should be acquainted with this tool.
