There will be 5 multiple choice questions.
Students should be able to:
  1. Find the domain of a rational expression.
  2. Perform basic operations of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with rational expressions.
  3. Determine the common denominator given more than one rational expression.
  4. Simplifying complex rational expressions.
  5. Polynomial Division including long division.
  6. Synthetic Division and the Remainder Theorem.
  7. Solve equations with rational expressions and identify any extraneous solutions.
  8. Solve common application problems that involve rational expressions:
    • Distance, rate, time
    • Work, rate
    • Variation. Variation equations may include direct, inverse, or joint variation.
