# Requirements for the B.A. in Mathematics

A total of 120 hours is required to graduate with a B.A. in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. The requirements for all students earning a B.A. in the College include the KU Core Curriculum, a laboratory or field experience, and proficiency in a language other than English. ## Mathematics Courses (30 credits)

- Calculus: through MATH 127, or 147 (12 credits)
- Linear Algebra: MATH 290 and 590, or 790 (5 credits)
- Analysis: MATH 500 or 765 (3 credits)
- One Sequence from List AB (6 credits)
- One or more electives, as needed, to bring up to 15 the total credit hours in mathematics courses numbered 300 and above (excluding Math 365 and Math 409)
