Declaring a Major or Minor in Mathematics

Students planning on majoring in mathematics should formally declare the major as soon as possible. This allows the math department to contact you with information about advising, scholarships, etc. It also enables the university to tailor the ARTS form to the requirements for the mathematics degree. (It is easy to change the major declaration if you change your mind later.)

To declare a math major get a "Major Declaration Form" at the Mathematics Department office, 405 Snow Hall.

Minor Declaration Forms are also available at the Mathematics Department office, 405 Snow Hall.
