Double Majoring in Mathematics and Another Field

Students often earn two majors in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. It is also possible to earn a B.S. or B.A. in Mathematics while getting a degree in another School of the University. All general education requirements for both majors or degrees must be satisfied. With careful planning, many general education courses can count towards both majors/degrees. Students interested in double majoring should consult a mathematics department advisor as soon as possible.

Note that Engineering majors vary widely in the total credits of general education courses required. The B.S. in Mathematics requires two semesters of Western Civilization (not required for any Engineering major). The B.S. in Computer Science has the greatest overlap in general education requirements among Engineering degrees.
