The weather in Lawrence in early April is chilly, with highs around 65F (16C) and lows around 40F (5C).

The conference will be held in Snow Hall on Saturday, April 8, and Sunday, April 9. The Mathematics Department is in Snow Hall. The invited speakers will speak on Saturday, in Snow 120. Parking in the nearest lot (56 and 57) on this map is open and free on Saturday and Sunday. A permit is required to park on Friday. Parking in the parking garages does not require a permit, and is not free any day. Be sure to check the bus schedule for the dates you will be here.

KU offers a guest wireless network, KUGUEST. You can access this though your wireless devices by selecting the KUGUEST network. KU is also a member the eduroam network. If you are visiting from another eduroam institution, you can use your eduroam login. Please consult your technical department for eduroam setup instructions before leaving your institution.

Downtown Lawrence has a large number of restaurants, with many price ranges and a wide variety of cuisines. The Oread Hotel just off campus has several restaurants with many price ranges. KU Dining Services may not be available on Saturday or Sunday.

The University of Kansas has two excellent museums: a Natural History Museum, and the Spencer Art Museum.

Lawrence also has a widely-known music scene, with a number of clubs downtown, various folk music venues around town, and several concert halls.
