Robert D. Adams Visiting Assistant Professor

Applications are invited for the Robert D. Adams Visiting Assistant Professor positions expected to begin August 18, 2008. These are term positions, initially for one academic year and renewable for a second year with the expectation that one additional one-year appt. is possible. Preference will be given to candidates in algebraic geometry, combinatorics, partial differential equations, and several complex variables and/or complex dynamics, scientific visualization and computer graphics. Ph.D. or terminal degree in math or a related field expected by start date of appointment.

Letter of application, detailed vita, research description, teaching statement, completed AMS application form, and at least three recommendation letters (teaching ability must be addressed in at least one letter) should be mailed to Jack Porter, Chair, Department of Mathematics, 1460 Jayhawk Boulevard, University of Kansas, Lawrence, KS 66045-7523 (or faxed to (785) 864-5255).
