Research Interests

Professor Roitman has done work in set theoretic topology and Boolean algebra, with emphasis on the following areas: hereditary properties of topological spaces; cardinal invariants of superatomic Boolean algebras; automorphisms of superatomic Boolean algebras; Ostaszewski spaces; and paracompact box products.

Selected Publications

  • Stiff algebras, Algebra Universalis 34 (1995), no. 3, 366-379.
  • CH with no Ostaszewski spaces (with Eisworth, Todd), Trans. Amer. Math. Soc. 351 (1999), no. 7, 2675-2693.
  • Coarser connected topologies (with Fleissner, William G. and Porter, Jack), Topology Appl. 142 (2004), no. 1-3, 131-157.
  • More paracompact subspaces of "box" (w+1)^w, Topology Proc. 34 (2009), 53-76.
