This page is intended for the Bay Area Circle for Teachers 2011 Summer Workshop. Below you will find worksheets/websites which enhance the lectures.
Supplementary Material
- Problem Set: This is the main set of problems used during the workshop.
- SharmaMath: This is the online journal I created for my class. Thought I would share this with you.
- Circle in a Box: The primary resource for people interested in creating their own Math Circle program. There are many great projects in here.
- Math OverFlow: A site for research mathematicians to ask each other questions and discuss research topics. This is a nice place to see current trends.
- Math StackExchange: This is similar to Math OverFlow, but geared more towards undergraduate questions.
- The arXiv: A place to post papers before you send them to the editors. Be careful here, there are many bad papers.
- Math Sub-Reddit: A great place to find discussions on various mathematical topics and levels.
- Warning: this site is not appropriate for in-school use; this is mainly a place to find topics for discussion.
- Wikipedia
- List of Open-Problems: Most of these problems are very hard, but it is nice to see what is out there. It is far from an exhaustive list.
- Commutative Algebra: This is my research area, so I thought I should post something about it.
