Course : Math 290, Elementary Linear Algebra

Description: In this course we will study elementary linear algebra. Topics to be covered include systems of linear equations, matrices, determinants, vector spaces, linear transformations, eigen values and eigen vectors.

Homework : Homework will be assigned each class period. A number of problems will assigned each class period, but only a few problems from each assignment are to be turned in. You are encouraged to work as many of the assigned problems as you can. Check here for the daily assignments : Math 290 Homework.

Course Grading : Homework 100 pts, two mid-term (in class) exams 100 pts each, comprehensive final exam 200 pts. Total course points : 500. Your final grade will be determined by dividing your total number of points by 500.

Mid-term Exam Dates : September 30 and November 11

Final Exam : The final exam is scheduled for Tuesday, December 15, from 10:30am to 1:00pm. The final exam will be comprehensive.
