Grading: There will be 600 possible points as follows:
    100     Exam 1
    100     Exam 2
    100     Exam 3
    150     Homework
    150     Final

Some important dates:

  • August 24 M, first day of class
  • September 7 M, Labor Day
  • September 10 R, last day to cancel (no W)
  • October 1 W, Exam 1, in class,
  • October 15,16, Fall Break
  • November 11 W, Exam 2, in class,
  • November 16 M, last day to withdraw (W), (new this year: no WP/WF, no instructor's signature)
  • November 25, 26, 27 Thanksgiving
  • December 7 M, Exam 3
  • December 9 W, last day of class
  • December 18 F, Final Exam 7:30am-10:00am

Make-up exams will be given only with a valid (e.g. medical) excuse with written documentation. If possible, notify me before the exam (e.g. athletics).

Homework is due at the beginning of class. Late homework will not be accepted. Homework should be done neatly on 8.5 by 11 paper, and turned in stapled and unfolded. How is homework scored? Each exercise will be worth a few (one to three) points. An assignment who be scored 17/20, for example. At the end of the semester, I will total your homework scores, and divide by an appropriate number.
