The weather was nice yesterday, although it was cold. The snow from last snow storm was nearly gone. But it starts snowing again today The whole campus (except some main roads) was covered by snow in the afternoon. The view of snow is nice, but it is not nice to walk to school I'm lazy to take pictures these days. Here is a picture was taken by a friend from last snow storm.

01/20/07 - 15:05Snowing again

I planned to have my hair cut this morning. I drove to Commerce Bank first, then the post office. On the way to GreatClips (where I usually have my hair cut), I noticed that I did not bring the coupon. Then I drove back home. After lunch, I moved my stuff into my new office and organized them nicely. It was about 2:30pm when I left the office. It started snowing again

Spring semester started today. After being woken up by the clock alarm at 7:00am  from the dreams, I still did not want to get up 7:00am is late for many people, but early for some lazy students like me I stayed in bed till 7:30am.

01/13/07 - 23:02KC shopping

Jing and I drove to the dealer to check the "dash light" problem of her car this morning. John was there, but he said the car was sold as it is, and he could not do anything about it. And he said it was not a major problem. He recommended us to take the car to a Toyato shop if we really want to fix the problem. When we were about to leave, he told us their shop could fix the problem (maybe after checking with their service dept.) but we should pay by ourselves. I asked if we could get the free estimation check, and he said yes. So we planned to go back there again on the following Monday to get the estimation, then decide to fix the problem or not, based on the price they will offer.

It was snowing hard sometimes, but the road seems not bad. The we decided to go to KC for grocery shopping as planned. We went to KFC to had lunch, and called Xiaoting, Xi and Mingjing about the meeting time and place.

01/12/07 - 10:08First snow in 2007

It was cold this morning when I stayed in the bed. And I found that it was snowing when I opened the window. Jing checked her car at En-Tire, and found oil leakage problem. She wanted to fixed it today. And we planned to meet at 9:00am.

I went out to my car at 8:50am, and found that the windows were covered by ice. I scratched some ice off so that I can drive safely, and let the heater to melt other ice. However, the heating system of my car does not work well, which is a problem found long time ago. It did not matter much before so I did not fix it.

01/10/07 - 19:57Jing bought a car

Jing wanted to look at a second old car at Nissan Dealer Shop. So we went to the shop this afternoon at about 12:40pm. It is a 1997 Toyota Camry LE. The mileage was nearly 140K, which was higher than I like it to be The car looked old, and it was not clean inside. I did not like the car much, and Jing said she did not want to buy it either but like to try it John was the person in the shop who worked with us.

01/08/07 - 10:30Made the same mistake

I woke up at about 6:20am, and stayed in the bed till 7:20am. I was ready for Analysis Qualifying exam, and planned to study Algebra a little bit this afternoon and tonight, after the Analysis exam in the morning. I walked to school at 8:30am. The room was not open yet, so I talked with Mingji, and Joyti. A few more people came, including Jian and Xiaoming, who had passed the Analysis exam. I thought they came to study for Algebra exam. But after talking for a while, I knew that they came for the Algebra exam today. Oh, my God! I realized that I made the same mistake last time for qualifying exams

01/01/07 - 20:00Dinner at Plum Tree

Mingji decided not to join us, and Jing did not call. So only Xi and I went to Plum Tree, but I met two groups of Chinese friends having dinner there 

We ordered three dishes, 清蒸龙利, 水煮肉片(牛肉), and 宫保鸡丁. It took a while for the dishes to come out since many people were ahead of us. It was not bad since we were not that hungry at the beginning. After the dishes came out one by one, we ate a lot. The food were tasted very good! I was pretty full. After dinner, the fortune cookie I got says "Long life is in store for you." Isn't it good? I'm wondering if I could live 999 or 1999 years of age

2006 is gone Today is the first day of 2007. Happy New Year to everyone. Wish all of you have a good life in this year

If I were back at China, we would have three days off (from work or study) for the holiday, and would go out to a good restaurant to celebrate. Here, in U.S., people went to big cities to celebrate on New Year's Eve. For today, for us, it seems to be just an ordinary day

12/31/06 - 13:35Dog

I had a long, interesting dream last night. In one piece of the dream, I was walking downstairs, and a big black dog standing on the floor, staring at me. I was scared, and had to throw detergent power downward to keep it away from me. Later on, someone came to take the dog away.

This morning, when I came out from the laundry room. I saw a dog with brown and white hair in front of the door. It looked at me. I kept walking, and it seemed to be scared, and stayed away from me while kept looking at me. Since it did not follow me, I stopped looking at it when we were some distance away. Then I went back home.

It is interesting to see a dog in the dream, then see one in the real lift the next morning
