01/01/07 - 12:41Happy New Year
2006 is gone
Today is the first day of 2007. Happy New Year to everyone. Wish all of you have a good life in this year![]()
If I were back at China, we would have three days off (from work or study) for the holiday, and would go out to a good restaurant to celebrate. Here, in U.S., people went to big cities to celebrate on New Year's Eve. For today, for us, it seems to be just an ordinary day![]()
On the first day of 2006, I invited some Chinese friends to my apartment to celebrate. I cooked several dishes, and they brought some dishes. We had a good time together.
This time, it seems that everyone is busy, very busy
So I plan to go out to a Chinese restaurant to have dinner, together with some friends including Xi and Mingji (Jing is not sure since she may have another party). We plan to go to Plum Tree, which I have been there twice in the last month. I had been there long time ago, and stopped going there (and some other Chinese restaurant) because I thought the food were just so so. But the last two times, the food tasted good. Either the food was really good, or I became easy to be satisfied
But anyway, it should be better than eating at home tonight since I don't want to cook new dishes. Xi is happy about this since he is getting tired of cooking these days![]()

one comment:
You should have come over to Scotland for New Year. We tend to start celebrating on Hogmanay (New Years Eve) and the parties continue for at least 2 or 3 days. Great Fun.
Wishing you a happy New Year.
