Jing and I drove to the dealer to check the "dash light" problem of her car this morning. John was there, but he said the car was sold as it is, and he could not do anything about it. And he said it was not a major problem. He recommended us to take the car to a Toyato shop if we really want to fix the problem. When we were about to leave, he told us their shop could fix the problem (maybe after checking with their service dept.) but we should pay by ourselves. I asked if we could get the free estimation check, and he said yes. So we planned to go back there again on the following Monday to get the estimation, then decide to fix the problem or not, based on the price they will offer.
It was snowing hard sometimes, but the road seems not bad. The we decided to go to KC for grocery shopping as planned. We went to KFC to had lunch, and called Xiaoting, Xi and Mingjing about the meeting time and place.
Mingji came to my apartment at 12:50pm, then we walked to Tower. Jing was already in the car with the car started in order to warm up. My car was left at En-Tire to fix the heating system. Then Xiaoting and Xi came out, and we drove toward KC. Before going onto the highway, we filled up the gas and set the "trip mileage" to zero (in order to check the fuel efficiency of the car).
We went to Costco at first, and bought lots of stuff there. Then we went to "888 Super Market", and then to the Oriental Market which we usually call Korean Market (but it has lots of Chinese stuff there). It was already 5:30 we we came back, with the trunk full of stuff. We filled up gas at the same gas station, and it consumed 2.48 gallon of gas to drive 68 miles. So the fuel efficiency is about 27 m/g, which is good for the old car. We drove back to Tower first, to unload the stuff for Xiaoting, Xi, and Jing.
My car was ready, but I could not get anyone to go with me to drive it back. Nobody answered my call
Then we drove to En-Tire, and I paid for the service and got the key. I left my car there and planned to pick it anytime later. Then we drove to Checkers since Mingjing wanted to buy something there. And I bought something there too.
After the grocery shopping was done, it was about 6:30. Then we picked up Xi at Tower, and drove to Panda Garden for dinner. Liming called during the dinner, and said he would be back around 10pm to help me to pick my car. Xi treated us tonight. My fortune cookie says, "
You are the master of every situation. " Then we drove back home.
Liming called me at about 10:30pm, and drove me to En-Tire. I started the car, and removed the ice on the window while waiting the car to warm up. Then I drove back home. The heater does work, but it takes lnger time to warm up than I expected. Anyway, I hope it works well, or else I have to take it back to En-Tire since they have 12 months/12,000 miles warranty.
