General Organization:
The course organization will deviate a little bit from the traditional
approach and would try to use some online resources.
- All The Online Materials Can be Accessed
Through The Left Frame.
- Text: We will be using my Online
Lecture notes.
- Online Homework: The Homework will be given and submitted
online. You will need to know the following:
- You can access your online homework through the Student
Login Page.
- You will need to know your KUID, Password, Line Number (given above)
and Semester.
- I will assign your Last name as password. First
letter will be capitalized. Remember to change your password.
- We will have a total of 26-30 homework. I will give several
homework every week.
- Each homework will have a due date. Before the due date you
can resubmit your homework as many times as you want. After the
midnight of the due date you will only be able to view the homework
but not resubmit.
- You will also be able to see your grades online.
- Calculator: An advance calculator (TI-83) will be of great
help, in fact, necessary. (Or instead, how about a Facit
Machine?)
- If you are a USER of Blackboard, you will receive emails from me
on regular basis.
- Material to be Covered: All of Chapter 1-11 of my Lecture
Notes.
Remarks:
- The Computer does not accept late homework.
Policy on Homework |
- Generally, I assume that the university computer labs
are adequate for your need. If you have a reliable internet
access at your home, that will be great.
- Generally, it is your responsibility to check if there
is any new homework due.
- I will give you at least one and a half day during Monday-Friday.
If a homework is due on Saturday or Sunday night, what I
really mean is that you will finish it by end of Friday.
- Sometime (infact, often) internet servers do not perform
very well during the weekend. So, it is important that you
finish it by Friday.
- Computer does not accept late homework.
- I essentially accept medical excuses as valid for late
homework.
- We do not accept paper homework.
|
- We will not give any make up test, unless you have a doctor's note.
