General Organization:

The course organization will deviate a little bit from the traditional approach and would try to use some online resourses.
  1. All The Online Materials Can be Accessed Through The Left Frame.
  2. Text: We will be using my Online Lecture notes.
  3. Online Homework: The Homework will be given and submitted online. You will need to know the following:
    1. You can access your online homework through the Student Login Page.
    2. You will need to know your KUID, Password, Line Number and Semester.
    3. I will assign your Lastname as password. First letter will be capitalized. Remember to change your password.
    4. We will have a total of 34 homework. I will give several Homework every week.
    5. Each Homework will have a duedate. Before the due date, you can resubmit your homework as many times as you want. After the midnight of the duedate you will only be able to view the homework but cannot resubmit.
    6. You will also be able to see your grades online.
  4. Calculator: An advance calculator (TI-83) will be of great help, in fact, necessary. (Or instead, how about a Facit Machine?)
  5. If you are a USER of Blackboard, you will receive emails from me on regular basis.
  6. Material to be Covered: All of Cahpter 1-9 of my Lecture Notes.

    Policy on Homework

    1. Generally, I assume that the university computer labs are adequete for your need. If you have a reliable internet access at your home, that will be great.
    2. Generally, it is your responsibility to check if there is any new homework due.
    3. I will give you atleast one and a half day during Monday-Friday. If a homework is due on Saturday or Sunday night, what I really mean is that you will finish it by Friday.
    4. Sometime internet servers do not perform very well during the weekend. So, it is important that you finish it by Friday.
    5. Computer does not accept late homework.
    6. I essentially accept medical excuses as valid for late homework.
    7. If, under special circumtances, I agree to accomodate late homework, following is what you have to do:
      1. Print the homework, complete it, also write down your excuse and give it to me.
      2. At the end of the semester, I will look at it if you are missing a grade for a few points.

  2. We will not give any make up test, unless you have a doctor's note.
