  • Homework & quiz policies:
    • Homework will be assigned daily, announced in class and/or online, and it will be collected on Tuesdays and Fridays. Check the link above for homework assignments. Homework is due at the beginning of class, and no late assignments will be accepted under any circumstances. The worst five homework scores will be dropped at the end of the semester.
    • When turning your assignments in: staple the assignment in the upper left corner, fold your assignments in half lengthwise, and put your name on each page of homework.
    • In addition, write your name, Math 122, my name, and the due date on the outside of your assignment.
    • Homework will contribute 100 points towards your final grade.
    • Quizzes:  Ten Quizzes will be given throughout the semester, usually on Friday's. Tentative dates will be announced later on this web page. At the end of the semester, your quiz grade will contribute 100 points towards your final grade.
    • Attendance:  You are expected to be in class every day. You are responsible for all material covered and any announcements made on this web page or in class, whether you are present or not.
    • Make-up policy: In case of a serious scheduling conflict or a medical emergency that, as a result, a student will miss a quiz or an in-class exam, the student may qualify for a make-up test if and only if he or she will be able to supply enough proper documentation (e.g. hospital record, court order...etc.). In such circumstance, the student has to contact the instructor immediately. In case of a scheduling conflict, the student must inform the instructor at least two weeks in advance.

    • The on-line gateway exam expires on  9/8/2009.
    • The lab gateway exam expires on 9/18/2009.
    • First in-class exam is tentatively scheduled on Tuesday 9/15/2009.
    • Second in-class exam is tentatively scheduled on Tuesday 11/17/2009 (see the above anoouncement).
